    90G Acrylic tank

I would recommend painting it with marine paint when done if possible, it's really nice to have that extra bit of protection should it get wet. The stand I got with my tank was built by the pervious owner and it's something I would do again should I ever have to make my own.

    Bunch of coral dying

I have little knowledge but @Hamada really saved me when he came down and saw my tank. I had metal band holding a hose to one of my pumps for my UV. He showed me small signs of rust on the screws and we immediately took it out, definitely something I would have never accounted for!

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

And yes I definitely need to check my calcium again, what's weird is last time I checked it, it was really good I can't imagine it would drop so quick especially because I don't have wall to wall SPS or really any

My Magnesium I think was pretty good. I will have to see if I am checking right but it took the whole syringe before it really turned blue (which I think indicates it's high).

    Cabinet organization

I don't know if this is the best (as far as safety) but I put all my big power blocks (idk what hey are called) in a marine box to help get them out of the way. I made sure to label all my cords which definitely helped! It also helped that I have a wooden base and was able to screw my power...

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

I went ahead and checked my parameters again this morning Phosphate - .38 ppm Nitrate - 13.8 ppm ALK - 9.06 dKH However when checked my Calcium it was super low, like maybe 80 ppm. I never dosed but when I checked last week it was solid around 455 ppm. I am really thinking I must have made...

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

Just wanted to do a little update forgot to do it earlier, big shout out and thank you to @Reefer Madness! He kindly was able to come down and took a peek, upon further inspection we figured out thankfully it was NOT Dino :) probably a type of hair algae. Will probably end up just taking out the...

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

to be honest it probably could be better, I have a scopes tang and just added a white tail bristle tooth! I thought these guys were supposed to be good at algae grazing, but regardless I should look into adding more CUC as @Hamada kindly mentioned when I met him! Where would you recommend I get...

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

I'm not sure how long @FreahSaltyGuy had the bird nest in the tank but I would venture to say it wasn't very recent, when I bought the tank I didn't see any signs of this on there, hopefully its something that doesn't spread all over my tank, I think when I get home for lunch I will go ahead and...

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

I can just pull it off it's not glued in thankfully! when I see it in person it does have "air bubbles" at the tips of the algae, from what I remember (a long time ago) Dinos tended to do that

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

I think you're right @Alexander1312, I really meant Dinos they have bubbles in them. I use a commercial grade RODI water system that last time I checked had 0 TDS reading. I will test my nitrates and phosphates right now and see where they are

Bigfish's swim into the sea - a tank journal

I did read you never want your nitrates and phosphates to be completely zero as it can lead to killing your corals
