Online description says Skimz VSC5000-DC Pump with 6 speeds, however the pump looks like one of those waveline/jebao dc pumps. BRS has some deal with the manufacturer to provide full support and parts for it.

Quick update! The Skimz Monzter SM203 DC has been up and running for almost a week now, and boy does it live up to it's name. Ill have a video up of the action soon if anyone is interested in that brand. It's currently running at half power on the pump and the gate is wide open and its still...

I've decided to go with the curve 9. the curve 5 i have is extremely quiet. quieter than my reef octopus 1000sxxx (or whatever) was. At this point the aquamedic circulation pumps will be the loudest piece of equipment.

I have a curve 5 on my 40, and im thinking of getting the curve 9 for the 130. The Curve 9 is factory rated to 400 gallons, so i think it should be fine for a stocked up 130 display. Its also the best bang for the buck.

No buckets Status achieved! Water station fully plumbed for mixing and feeding fresh salt and ro to the second floor via iawaki high pressure pump, and drain down to basement sink. Pics to follow.

got two aquamedic DC powerheads and an iawaki to pump water up from basement to display for water changes (maybe a future basement sump....)

Some noteworthy updates over the weekend. The 40g is now in my new house in the basement. After the 130 is up, I'll use this as a quarantine tank. On that note 130 is finally going up on the stand tomorrow. Wahoo!
