I've never had a problem using it. Especially for bryopsis added a air stone for extra oxygen. It's best to dissolve it in a actual cup of water first salt or rodi verse trying to drop powder into tank. That just dumping it in pisses off corals it lands on. In water didn't have the same results...

With algae outbreaks you can't always trust testing as it can be tied up into the alage itself. I've heard mentioned on a few occasions. So probably best to keep a casual eye on those numbers. Good luck
