    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

It's a IM 40 gallon, so it's a lot more cube-like than a 40 gallon breeder. I have one of those for freshwater fish, though :)

    BlueSallymandr's 40 gallon AIO tank

Corals! I forgot about the corals. I am trying to keep a mix of softies and LPS corals in this tank. I moved over some assorted mushrooms, a Nepthea tree, a weeping willow toadstool, a Gorgonian, a finger leather, some very sad fireworks clove polyps, a favia, and a candy cane coral. All are...

    BlueSallymandr's 40 gallon AIO tank

I’m starting a tank journal for my new 40 gallon tank, which is an upgrade from my 16 gallon BioCube that got me into the hobby. Thank you so much to the club members who helped me pick out equipment for this setup earlier! Current equipment: IM 40 gallon AIO tank Reefi Uno Pro 2.1 light with...

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

This tank was taken down while upgrading to a 40 gallon tank, and I moved over all the contents.

    10/19 Frag Swap Volunteer Thread

Hi, I'm super sorry but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it tomorrow. I had to evacuate because of a fire today and I'm not sure when I'm returning home.

For those interested in buying G2 Red Sea tanks

Hahaha, I was like, "but surely they fixed the seam thing for G2..." Don't worry, I ordered an IM

MEMBERS ONLY Frag Swap - October 19th in the South Bay (PLEASE RSVP)

Total newbie question - should we bring heat packs/coolers for the corals or are they fine at room temp? I want to stay to help break down or do whatever's needed but I honestly have no idea how long a frag can survive at room temp.

For those interested in buying G2 Red Sea tanks

This is good information for new reefers, I was seriously considering buying a G2 Red Sea tank until some of y'all talked me down from it :D

    Bangai’s bred in my tank!

I, too, would be interested in one a few weeks down the road. I'm working on setting up a 40 gallon that I bet would be nice for one.

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

I apologize for the image quality, but I noticed today that my Rainford goby is missing the webbing of one of its pectoral fins. The other side is normal, and I don't see any inflammation. It's eating normally. Is there anything I should do beyond keeping an eye on it? The most aggressive...

    Konkers' 16 Gallon Biocube

Wow, your BioCube is totally geared up! Mine is...not, lol. Good luck with getting corals in and running again! What kind of corals are you planning to grow?

    10/19 Frag Swap Volunteer Thread

I can help with setup and cleanup! Maybe running coral (although it sounds like you already have enough people to help with that) or registration? PS: do you have a link to any old threads or anything that explain how the event works/what happens? I've never been to a frag swap before.

    Amateur/New reefer in Palo Alto

Welcome, Jozy! The one thing I would suggest, in addition to all the other great advice you are getting, is to check and make sure what you have is truly hair algae and not bryopsis. You can find pictures online, but bryopsis is ferny, and most clean up crew members won't touch it (including a...

Wrasses in internal overflow box - how to get them out

Congrats on both the rescue operation and the lovely tank!

    Repashy Superfoods?

I'll have a look for it, thanks! I think my Rainford goby has the smallest mouth out of my fish, so I'll see if I can get him eating it.

    Repashy Superfoods?

Hmm, anecdotal but I feed frozen every day and have no phosphates. I have to dose them. I was told that feeding dry food would increase them, which is why I'm looking into brands my fish will eat. In my opinion, being new to saltwater but not animal husbandry, a species appropriate diet is...
