How difficult is planted compared to reef

Surprised to see some really nice freshwater tanks a few days ago. I am wondering how hard is it to care for compared to reef? Added some pica of the freshwater tanks I saw. They seem to be a little more complex than what I am use to.

    IM 40 Torch Tank

Getting ready for a long trip and decided to test nitrates. I usually test only Alk and po3 consistently. Nitrates tested 0 which was a surprise considering a month ago it was around 20. I dose po3 and n04 daily. The acan started shrinking a few days ago while other corals look ok but not the...

    Floating torch tentacles still sting?

Once in a while, I see a floating torch tentacle. Will this tentacle still sting? Today I saw the tentacle on a chalice. I wasn't sure if the chalice was feeding on the tentacle or the tentacle was stinging the chalice. The tentacle seems to be stuck on the chalice pretty good and left a mark.

    Fuzzy SPS around 200-250 PAR?

Looking to add a couple of sticks to the tank, don't want to add more lights. What fuzzy/hairy acropora looks nice but doesn't require intense lighting to show great colors?

Can I put zoas in between torches?

How about coral stilts to elevate the torches above the sand bed? Is there such a thing? This way I can have a place for zoas and other corals.

Can I put zoas in between torches?

Do shaded areas have PAR? I didn’t test it the last tome I had borrowed from the club. What are thoughts on shaded areas for Zoas? or any other photosynthetic coral? Running out of ideas/placement for a few corals since the torches growing.

Can I put zoas in between torches?

I rearranged my torch corals since 3 inches apart wasn’t enough room foe growth. This change leaves a. empty space. The torch tentacles will probably touch this area. What coral would be for ground cover? ai was thinking zoa but not sure. Anyone try zoas or something else?

Everything is on cruise control. Haven’t loss a coral since the BJD outbreak. Tank is full, really have no more room for anything else. The non-torch corals are being moved around to avoid getting stung :-(.
