The first torch that showed symptoms and died was the mariculture Torch. All the neighboring torches closest to the mariculture Torch were affected soon after. This leads me to believe how contagious it is and how proximity matters.

If you need to borrow a mini QT tank I have a small setup, evaporation is very minimal and should last 2 days for you.

If you suspect the start of BJD, I would take steps. The last thing you want to happen is to have it spread to your other corals. This works for me: 4-6 hours KFC Dip, then isolate in a Cipro bath for a few days.

With my recent bout with BJD anything that looks brown puts me on alert. I prepared a KFC Dip just in case.

Is this normal? The lower parts maybe do to less light is darker.
