If I remember correctly it had to be tempered glass, not regular. Something about tempered filters uv while regular doesn’t. Also regular glass might not stand the heat and could shatter.

Heres mine with an orange lens. Still pale but not dead. Noticed one of the barnacles is still alive. Anyone else has sps barnacles and will they negatively affect the sps? Figure it’s more of an aesthetic issue but not harmful

damn, that’s a ridiculous drop from advertised flow. I’m running 1in pvc with 5 90bends and about 4.5ft high. Guess 1000gph is too much to hope for. I’ll grab a flow meter to check once it’s running.
