Did they all brown out? I have one "canary in the coal mine" coral in my tank - an acro that turns brown whenever my parameters start to shift. The newest growth turned completely brown the other day. I decided to double check my water and my ALK was at 6 dKh.

Matthew, I would ditch the stock skimmer for 2 reasons - 1. that skimmer is tough to get dialed in and 2. if you upgrade your lights you will need to run a chiller. The sump doesn't have enough room for a properly sized return pump and the stock RSM skimmer. FYI, I use the tunze 9002...

Matthew, the RSM 130 (the 34 gallon) has power compact lights which Red Sea calls T5s. I'm not sure if they are mutually exclusive but I've seen this debate numerous times on RSM forums. When you say "upgrade", are you looking to replace the bulbs or install an entirely new lighting set up?

Perry, thanks for the frag. I put into my tank and it is currently settling in. I can tell it is some what touchy, it took about 6 hours for the polyps to extend but looks really happy now. I'll keep you posted on its progress.
