The Hanna Checktemp is also NIST traceable (aka calibrated). I have one and it as or more reliable than the club’s NIST traceable thermometer (which I also bought), at least in my experience. I’ve tested them in a lot of permutations, though it was a few years ago.

Those look like mini feather duster/tube worms in the sump rather than vermetids. Easier to tell when they are happy under water. Little white fans come out of the tips vs the snot line vermetids use. The feather duster version doesn’t harm anything but can clog pipes.

You still would use the prefilter, chloramine rated carbon, then skip the RO and go straight to DI. That said, I still would use ROx2

Citric acid is not harsh on plastic/rubber like acetic acid (vinegar) as far as I’m aware.
