    DBTC: Orange or Rainbow Yuma

You are already on that chain I started. You just say who you gave them to in BARCode once you do. And if you want you can just post on that thread that you have some available.

I need to rehome my 13 gal tank

I could see the tank plus equipment being a sweet raffle prize for an event. People like it all put together. After checking the electrical parts of the equipment hopefully. And if someone is willing to do the hard part of picking it up etc.

    DBTC: Orange or Rainbow Yuma

If this is the same one you got from my chain 3 years ago, it would be great to offer them there. We don’t have that many people who complete their chains, so it’s cool to see it https://www.bareefers.org/forum/threads/dbtc-rainbow-ricordea-yuma.28281/

Who's responsible for the skimpy size limit on posted photos!?!?

We plan to. Was discussed at our recent meeting, with plans in place to upgrade to allow this and other in-demand improvements https://www.bareefers.org/forum/threads/bod-minutes-q3-2025.39110/#post-559505

    DBTC: ROYGBIV Rhodactis mushroom

Nothing too insightful. They were growing slowly but steadily for me without any special attention but now have stalled out for the past few months. Also for unknown reason(s).

Reef Beef reef toothbrush!! Thank you!

Time will tell. On the podcast they mentioned that a few professional tank maintenance people swear by it. So I presume it lasts at least for a while and a bunch of uses. It’s so much better at cleaning and so inexpensive (compared to reefing gear) that even if it needs to be replaced a couple...

Reef Beef reef toothbrush!! Thank you!

I got the item Gerry linked to, with one round toothbrush-like head, and one pointy rubber head. They both work well. The brush one works better for the most part, the rubber one is better for detail work like between coral or in crevices, just because it’s pointy.

Reef Beef reef toothbrush!! Thank you!

Yeah I bought it after their recommendation too. I like holding a siphon hose in the same hand with opening near the tip. Siphoning down to doubled up mesh filter socks in the sump. Catches most of the stuff coming off.

    Fluconazole experience

I’ve used it a few times over the years for bryopsis. Never had a problem. Sometimes 1 dose does the trick, sometimes a second dose right after the first course is completed if there’s some left.

    Wil did another good thing

Well said Mike. What Mike said about someone always getting upset is very true. Much easier to be a critic than it is to be a doer/decider. For me, the key is to try to average out the complaints with the silent majority who (hopefully) appreciate what you’re doing. It’s hard because the...
