You do know that when you buy coral. You’re supposed to chop the coral off the plug and remount them on a new plug. Most eggs are at the base or on plugs. This prevents hitch hikers. Dunno what it is. Unfortunately.

When you frag a colony. It puts the frag into survival mode. If it’s a healthy frag it will do well if it was weak it will rtn in a few days to weeks. But yes. Most of your thinking is correct. Young Jedi.

Mariculture is extremely difficult when theirs a swing. They are extremely unforgiving. It’s not months of life. But see if you can grow them for years. I just use to scrape them off with my algae scraper. They slime like crazy tho. Hella baby free floaters that will grow wherever they land.

Yup. I had hundreds and hundreds of them. Finally got them out of my aquarium after years and years. They will even grow in super low light.

Do your homework. I’ve never heard of that used for clove polyps
