Seconding this. I've always been very pleased with his stuff.

Ended up caving and grabbed a few of those Klir DI-4 filter rollers to help with nutrient control.

It does have a negative impact on pH. Even with secondary reaction chambers, you're adding CO2 to the system; that decreases the pH. The drop isn't noticeable on mine, though; and honestly, running a CO2 scrubber and a carx I'm still getting pH between 8.1 and 8.4 daily.

Good bit of labor to do, but it'll be worth it! In addition to the advice here, when you start working on your fish stocking plan there's an excellent thread here on Humblefish to make sure your stocking plan will work/you'll minimize issues between fish.
