It would be nice if the mixing pump intake was screened or something. Several times I’ve had a snail or floating debris get stuck in it and stop the mixing. For that reason I have the mixing pump turn off for an hour each night to let whatever is there crawl or float away.

I like the pump outflow deflector in the new tube piece since it gets the water swirling more than the pump alone would. I wonder if the bottom twisty piece comes off (without breaking), that would give you the deflector without the hole size limiter.

You are probably right, though in their documentation they specifically say orthophosphate is what is measured in test kits and they say you use their ratio with test kit numbers, I think.
