Shrimp doing something nasty at Neptune

Mine haven't been eating them :( but I don't mind too much, only have a couple in the display and I kill them when I see them. I still like the shrimp.

Shrimp doing something nasty at Neptune

Pep's eating aiptasia is kind of hit and miss already. As long they get their own food they shouldn't nibble on coral. "shouldn't"

Shrimp doing something nasty at Neptune

I would be to, but I saw that episode of CSI Miami where they had to figure the cause of murder and it turned out to be a cone snail :)

Shrimp doing something nasty at Neptune

So in case you can't figure it out, the shrimp is on the back of a sea hare, claw deep in it's anus looking for bits to eat. :Sp

    Fish temperament guide

I have always tried to keep all peaceful fish just cause it was easier, but I like a lot of the meaner fish. Are you supposed to add fish that are like minded? Semi Aggressive with Semi Aggressive and Aggressive with Aggressive? It seems like a tank with all aggressive fish would kill each...

    Not married and proposing soon?

I almost lost my pants a couple times, the closest time was when we were asked to all jump at the same time (for a photo), I made sure to have a hand on my pants :)

Algae Turf Scrubbers - myth or reality

A few softies and gorgonians don't they thrive better in nutrient rich environments? Also what Gresh said. I am shooting for a tank similar to that myself minus the gorgs.

We (Reed Mariculture Inc) need your help - Product line naming contest

Long title and a joke but I would probably buy some if it was called "I got 99 problems but a hungry reef aint one" :) hmm your new product isn't aimed so much at consumers just feeding their tanks so maybe change hungry reef with hungry neonates or something :D

    Erick's 57G LED Tank

Thanks, I am trying to get a cabinet so I can have a nice space for all my wires and stuff, but it seems too expensive for the furniture. I am also fighting a cyano break out. It's my own fault I put in some bad rock and sand that had enough to take hold quickly. Here's a pic in it's ugliest at...

Looking For Ideas On Oscillating Return Flow

what about a powerhead strapped to a pipe that is strapped to an oscillating fan? It cools the tank and moves the powerhead two birds with one stone!

    Pyramellid Snails?

Collonista and Pyramellid are very easy to tell apart visually. I always thought they were baby cerith snails and didn't think to much of them. I am not sure how quickly they can kill a big snail though (for the ones that eat them) You can remove them as you see them and they are pretty easy...

WOW! We scored some really crazy stuff today!

I don't see the image numbers, but the two corals I see skeletons on are the acan which looks like it has some dead polyps, and the green torch with is just mad and sunk into it's skeleton. Either way corals can, and do grow on other coral skeletons, which is what live rock is a lot of the time.
