that one crazy refractometer -- dunno if it needs to be calibrated like the normal ones. but 200 bucks to just tell you how much salt there is in water is a bit much for me =). it is an awesome piece of equipment though.

great info, but one thing I've noticed was about the sand. people say to not use the old sand. I've only had my sand for about 4 weeks -- I think I should be able to use some of it. though now I can pour my other bag of 20 lbs sand back into the new tank and see.
