Alright... sorry about this but I need to retract this one. I had some RTN'ing on this guy so I had to really cut it up. Once I have a few pieces grow out more I'll put it back up for DBTC.

Wow... only 2 passes. My mighty magnet is kick a$$ but it always takes a little more work than two passes for me.

7.9 is a little low but I would be far more concerned with the 8.8...

I use the 4" ring version... I believe I get them for $6.99 a piece through MD... that's no tax and no shipping also if you order enough stuff.

I had a little trouble with algae on my black eggcrate and I noticed one day that I had sun coming into the window hitting the tank pretty intense like for a couple hours in the mid afternoon. I installed a curtain to block the light and in about 3 days almost all the algae was gone. A week...

i picked up all mine from MD along with some other stuff I needed. Was able to get the free shipping... their good socks... at a good price... and I got them in 3 days.

I have 8 of them that I circulate through. When it comes time to clean them I throw them in the wash with a little bleach and a little oxyclean. Then I just let them dry for a couple days before using them.

The cap is doing well... It's put on more than a 1/4" of growth around the entire edge already... the color has turned a more pastel type orange than I thought it would... it's almost pickish looking at times.

Nice DBTC Jason... I picked up a piece of LR a few months back from Neptune and over the past couple weeks I've got about a dozen of these guys popping up all over it.... What a surprise!

Yep

If they are starving they will go after very small snails, starfish and crabs from what I understand. Kinda like us.... if your truly starving... you can eat many things you wouldn't normally.
