    An Inconvenient Truth

I understand the uproar has resulted in better design, which is good. Sometimes I don't understand these environmentalists. Do they prefer dirty coal power plants over nuclear? Does one have to be a liberal to care for the planet? If someone's a conservative, does it mean he/she will...

    An Inconvenient Truth

Two movies that I highly recommend: An Inconvenient Truth, and Who Killed the Electric Car. Now showing at a theater (not) near you. ======= A pic I snapped at Altamont Pass at 70 mph (no, I wasn't driving :D )

    One for Jimsar

I thought they were looking for an industrial type area ... maybe Palo Alto fits the bill. Anywhere in the Bay Area is good. This is really revolutionary technology!

    Baby Bangaii...maybe

Eileen, congrats!!! Bad news, if you can see the eyes inside the mouth, it will be ready anytime now. Males "hold" between 18-21 days. Do you have a fuge with enough chaeto for the babies to hide in? Take a chance ... the night before you leave for vacation, try to catch the male and have...

Daayum! My froggies are at it again!

Hi Mark, you like captive bred, huh? :D Norm, I won't be able to go to Alameda on Saturday ... will be in LA instead. If you can find SF strain eggs in the stores, go for it.

    Looking for new cyanacrylite source

Ahh, now I remember coming across Steve's website and him being mentioned in RC a few times. I made a mental note but you know how it is ... the mind is the first to go. Or is it the 2nd? :-)

Daayum! My froggies are at it again!

As far as I know, SF strain are smaller, much easier to transition to from rotis. No, decapsulated eggs won't hatch. I gave most of my eggs to a reefphilippines member, but can drip off a bit on Saturday; I'm going to Alameda in the AM. I've had them for over a year, (in the fridge) they...

    Looking for new cyanacrylite source

BAR sells IC Gel for $5 a tube (20 grams , .7 oz) at every meeting. I've got an unopened tube that I can sell to you for the club. That is, if you happen to drive by 80/780/Vallejo anytime in the near future. Just PM me ahead of time. Jim

Daayum! My froggies are at it again!

Jim/Norm, do you think they'll take newly hatched brine shrimp? Do you have San Francisco strain? I've got tons of eggs, but they're all Salt Lake strain.

    Return pump recommendations

I guano you not, but you have to put your ear close to the pump (or touch it) to know it's running. The return pump is submerged, and the closed loop is external. Same model. The body doesn't get as warm as the Mags. Eheim, fine German engineering.

    Return pump recommendations

It may be rated at only 900gph, but it sure is a good pump. I've got two of these, one serving as return pump, the other as closed loop. Quiet, cool running, trouble free. 900 gph for a 180? I don't believe in a fast flowing sump; I prefer slow current to give ditritus time to settle...

    CO2 Refiller found!

When I was at the shop they had a 4 ft tall CO2 tank that they just refilled for a bar. What for? I asked ... To push beer, she said. Makes sense. BTW, they also hydrostatically test these tanks when needed as required by law.
