Does anyone has this TDS Meter???

My inline one came from a group buy that Anthony coordinated a year or so ago. I still use my old pen style, mainly for testing our fridge tap to see if it's time to replace the carbon filter.

Possible frag swap with LMAS (Louisville KY) ?

Junior high for you, middle age for me. With reference to assuming the position for a prostate exam.

Possible frag swap with LMAS (Louisville KY) ?

What a great way for your company to donate boxes emblazoned with your company's logo ... and maybe an extra box filled with Reed samplers for the KY reefers. Hmmm, KY? "The slippery state"? Jim

Salinity:Which method of measuring do you trust more

I use a refractometer. I guess I can also use my beerkmaking hydrometer. I'll never use a plastic float hydrometer again. Mine is so inaccurate. In restrospect, I loaned it to Panzer Tank the other week. It's now his, as far as I'm concerned.

    Dowflake

I know it's cheaper, but is this a safe substitute for Kent's Turbo Calcium? I add 1 tsp of turbo calcium per 5-gallon of salt mix to compensate for the low CA in Red Sea Salt. I'm getting low on TC now, but overall I really don't use that much, so paying on-line price for Kent won't affect my...

    Clavularia from last frag workshop

I picked up 2 of those "short colt" frags and a "chunk of meat" at that workshop. The colts are about 5"x4" now, and spreading fast. I may have to cut them up long before the next swap. I'm running out of real estate. The "chunk of meat" is now a 3" toadstool with a 2nd 1/2" stalk. (The 2nd...

    Sun Coral

Office under negotiation is "utilities paid". Don't want the bldg owner to have a stroke if I put an SPS tank there. I noticed she has a really nice FW tank, though. Maybe I can switch her to reef ...

    Sun Coral

I'm toying with the idea of a low-light tank in the office with predominantly sun corals. No sump, but heavily skimmed. What do you think?
