i replaced the stock pump with mj1200. Yeah, that sure cools down the tank a whole whole lot. Though, I have 150w MH sits 4 inches above the water. I run my tank at 78F. Maybe that's too high? When i have the glass cover on, it's only evaporate ~.5-1 gallon a week in total.

I replenish ~0.5 gallon (half an inch) for my small 24g open top aquapod everyday. I wonder how i'm loosing so much water!

i haven't been having so much luck mounting monti cap. I wipe the back of the cap dry and IC-gel it to epoxy. Sadly, it kept coming off (most of the time between the epoxy and the monti). I applied pressure to the monti when glueing it to the rock, and broke the piece. And 2 days or a week...
