    I'm back!

Miami Hurricane chalice survived and I thought it was a gonner. All of the hammers and frogspawn bleached a little and are still retracted but their tissue looks healthy again. One of them was torn and I cut the flow in half for a couple days to let everything relax. The stylo will recover.

    Black Friday Run

This. This was how I scratched the impulse buy itch when I couldn't find a coral I wanted. Buy a book.

    LF: Small Reef-Safe Dragon Statue

You can make a concrete mold and create your own. I done this a few times with 3d prints with stuff like skulls and helmets.

    Changing test times for trident

I am able to make these changes on my phone while traveling. It's more tedious but you have access

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

It's one of those things that comes with a mature tank. Trim it back and it will regrow. I figure regrowth is consuming more than mature tissue. I don't know if I can prove that lol

    I'm back!

I actually don't want any anemones. They are a pain in my ass since I leave for weeks at a time for work. The only reason I had them was because my daughter won't stop grabbing them at frag swaps lol. She has a biocube, they always end up taking over the tank.

    I'm back!

I have never had this much loss in a move. I also did this semi professionally for years though. I have 3 more chalice that died. My urchin died. Two anemones dead. I have a tenuis and milli that are still alive but all other acros are gone. Stylos and most of the montipora are dying.

    I'm back!

Most of them were not named, at least not that I kept track of.

    I'm back!

They were in cups for too long. Maybe it would have been better to leave them in a cooler temp instead of floating in the tank. A couple frags might make it but all of the colonies are gone. The Miami hurricane colony is dead. The frags look OK still A couple hammers melted overnight. I'm...

    I'm back!

I ran out of glue trying to get stuff placed. Of course the rocks aren't in exactly the same place so it's a crap shoot if everything is going to be happy

    I'm back!

I don't think any of the acros made it. Every acro cup was coral soup. I put them in the tank anyhow and crossed my fingers. I was not prepared for this to take several days to get everything moved. The rocks are in. All the critters are alive and the tank has heat and flow. Sump and lights...

    I'm back!

My house smells like dead coral.

    DBTC: Miami Hurricane Chalice

I have some pieces I can add. I had to trim mine to get it in a deli cup for the move :(

    I'm back!

Moved the tank home today. All my rock and the corals encrusted on them are still in heated bins in my office due to lack of help on a second trip and a late start. Tank is home. Fish are in new water. A ton of coral cups floating around. I have to do plumbing and set up the sump tomorrow...

    New AI pumps

Sounds like they are just avoiding the word gyre. Its just marketing wank

    New AI pumps

My jebao gyres do the same thing. Controlled from an app and I can program as many flow changes as I want. Only downside is it's not mobius (but neither is anything else I own) and that the wifi communication isn't protected so having jebao pumps on multiple systems causes interference.
