Personly I think it is ok. You bought the gift with a set price in mind which happens to incluse a rebate. The only problem that I can see is that with the UPC label missing them might not be able to return the item of an exchange if needed.

If you have the Lumenarcs mini's already I see no need to buy something else. As far as mounting height mine are 8" off of the water line from the bottom of the reflector.

I run 1 48" reefbrite led strip.

That could come in handy some day.
