    New AI pumps

Sounds like they are just avoiding the word gyre. Its just marketing wank

    New AI pumps

My jebao gyres do the same thing. Controlled from an app and I can program as many flow changes as I want. Only downside is it's not mobius (but neither is anything else I own) and that the wifi communication isn't protected so having jebao pumps on multiple systems causes interference.

Bubble tip Anemone has gone into hiding

I feed mine halved krill pieces. They really can't digest a ton of food. Remember, these anemones don't catch fish often. Their sting is weak

Bubble tip Anemone has gone into hiding

That is a very challenging setup for an anemone. Some species of bubble tips can get big enough to cover most of your tank without even splitting. It could have gone into hiding to split if it's stressed or very happy. They can survive for a surprising amount of time with minimal light. They...

    I'm back!

I've been using on of these at work for almost a year and finally decided to upgrade the Reef Geek printers at home.

    I'm back!

And he left the office door open last night and shut off the heater. It was 36 degrees in the building this morning and the tank dropped to 74 degrees with 300w of heaters running non stop. Final straw. Time to set up the 150 that's sitting in my garage and take all the critters home. Free...

    Turning off Protein skimmer

If it's not pulling stuff out, it's probably not reducing your nutrients by much. You could replace it with an air line for gas exchange. Yes, the surface agitation is where the gas exchange takes place but big bubbles breaking the surface is much more efficient than water current surface...

    I'm back!

Well. My coworker unplugged my camera again. Time to bring the tank home. It only takes one asshole to spoil the fun for everyone.

As far as I can tell. Their population has dropped significantly. I only saw 2 yesterday

    I'm back!

While I was on my last fire assignment for the year, one of my narcissistic coworkers decided to "train the fish to recognize our blue shirts" and started feeding pellet foods every time he walked by the tank. Thankfully, it was only one day before another coworker called me with concern about...

    Sharing tanks pictures.

I'm all for long time members being able to sell. Especially if it's because they are leaving the hobby for a while. I would feel like crap convincing someone to donate on their way out the door.

    Constantly resisting the chemical tinker

There are only a few things in the hobby that will get worse with water changes. It's always my first step when playing Sherlock on a stressed coral. I concur that you should double check your salinity measuring method. This is been a source of frustration more times than I want to admit...

    This Sunday!!!! Fragging workshop 8/20

Realisticly, hydrogen peroxide is probably the safest and efficient dip for most things I can think of. Your still not going to kill eggs but it will kill inverts, not likely to kill coral and even kills algae.

    This Sunday!!!! Fragging workshop 8/20

It's a great idea to research the things we use outside of their intended function. It's a really bad idea to use chatgpt for research. I use it on an almost daily basis and it hallucinate all the damn time. It's a lying sack of crap for anything serious. It's a great tool for outlining...
