The whole area is maybe a nickel/quarter. The hole itself is maybe 2cms. I don't see anything eating it or messing with it and it's fully open aside from this. I've been considering cutting it, but wasn't sure. I may just do that. I hadn't considered it being eaten.

Anyone ever experience this or have any idea what might be happening? This hole appeared on my toadstool and has slowly grown bigger, now the white area around the hole is growing larger. Just wondering if this is self propagation or cause for concern. Not looking to have it nuke my tank.
