I read that is the nicks and burrs in the metal blade that scratches acrylic. So a very flat, nick free blade will remove algae without scratching. Trick is smooth not necessarily sharp blade, if that makes sense.

Quarterly tank update and pictures. I temporarily hosted some sps colonies that caused my no3 to drop from 50-25 range to 5-2. Lost my oompah lompah and most of my exospheres before I tested. Now just overfeeding to keep no3 from dropping more. Using phosguard to lower po4 from 0.5 to now around...
