    Reefin’ on a Budget

Lots of success in this hobby was reached on a road of bones. You're not the only one that went through these struggles and you won't be the last. Reefing on a budget while learning is hard. The first year is full of flare ups anyhow so at least your past that part and have some nice mature...

    Ozone reactor (DIY)

I have a couple x1c. Without an enclosure, the tpu is easier to use. Flexibility will probably make it easier to clean too. Maybe a series of stacking plates that can be lifted out (like a TLF media reactor?)

    Ozone reactor (DIY)

Polycarbonate also has an A rating for ozone compatibility. That's much easier to work with.

    Ozone reactor (DIY)

I have a machine that 3d prints even the softest tpu materials. Let me know if I can help out at all. I'm very interested to follow your trail if this works out.

I don't have any experience with the DC maxi Jett. I would fell better running two of the maxi jett pumps over an S2 that's overkill.

Gyres: recommendations and LF one (buy, borrow)

My jebao scp-120 are dead silent. They are also complete overkill for a 4' 100g tank.

    Michael's 300 In Vegas

All one way valves are error prone but even a failed one way is going to be beneficial. If you fork over the $ for a one way valve with unions, at least it's easy to clean every 6 months

What do you use to dose ALK, CA (& MG)

I use kalkwasser/alk/MG I would absolutely use a calcium reactor and kalk. That was without a doubt, the best coral growth I have ever had. I just can't afford it.

    First Reefing adventure.. 65G AIO

Frozen mysis and live brine and baby brine have always been my preferred QT food. Even live blackworms. Everything I can to trigger a feeding response. I hate QT fish. It's my least favorite part of the hobby. Remember that they like to feed often but you have to scoop out the un eaten food or...

I dont test my water parameters:(

Testing in this hobby and the test methods and accuracy are not an exact science. Double check your results if it prescribes a large change in any parameter. Salinity accuracy is the most crucial. If your salinity is unknowingly low, it's going to be a nightmare of dosing to keep stable...
