    Randy’s Flock o' Reef Tanks

If anyone is curious about my tank parameters, I just sent some in on Sat to Triton for most of my tanks. I usually don't send in samples very often. I usually just dip my finger in the tank and hold it up to the wind. ;) 150 Gallon Tank https://www.triton-lab.de/en/showroom/icp-oes/246489...

Should Michael run a closed loop on his 210 gallon?

I've never understood the hate for Mobius. I do deeply dislike that it requires you to be close to your system (MXM solves this for newer products on Apex), but besides that, the software has never caused me issue and has worked quite well for me. Can it be better? Yes, but it's not awful by any...

Should Michael run a closed loop on his 210 gallon?

If your goal was to reclaim space by removing the internal overflows, going closed loop will remove some of that benefit. Plus if you don't like the look of pipes in your display, you'll have to have a rock scape or other decorative features to hide the plumbing in the tank.

ATO siphon issue - how to fix?

This is the way. Use both for fail safe reasons. While not likely, if siphon break hole gets clogged, it can siphon. Here's my ATO line.

Featured Lets see the eye candy from the 6/22 swap

Thanks! Maybe next event? Never know, but if it is a horrida, a lot of them that were being sold were just purple/grey with white polyps.

Featured Lets see the eye candy from the 6/22 swap

I'm terrible at identifying acro species, but it might be an acropora horrida. I used to see horrida at LFSes more often, but not so much anymore. If anyone has an extra frag they like to share, I'll like a piece.

    Randy’s Flock o' Reef Tanks

For me, it's really isn't about time. There's too many variables to consider. Between pests, swinging parameters from not so good husbandry, equipment failures, bacteria, etc, I'm good if I see it's growing, encrusting and gaining color. Then keeping it alive is possible. Yeah, it could be more...

Cotton candy torch - one head less happy than the other

Wow! You guys are clearly reaching and have no clue what you're talking about. Clearly it's that one head is exposed to more CO2 than the other head and has a bubble of localized pH drop surrounding it.

    Randy’s Flock o' Reef Tanks

Ever see a Giant Knobby Creeper? I picked up two of them a month or so ago. They stayed buried in the sand most of the time it seems. Hopefully they're nocturnal and do a lot of work on the sand while I'm sleeping. They look like a big ass cerith...
