    Light upgrade?

Third for ReeFi uno 2s. They can cover 24x24 which is mostly your tank footprint. The Kessil 360XE is also a great light for that footprint and will give the best shimmer if you like that. Nicrews are great budget options, but their power supplies burn out fairly quickly.

It's the one @Thales and Ben recommend on Reef Beef. Honestly it's HEAVY, which leads me to believe why it's so expensive and doesn't drift like the cheapo ones (there's no dinky screw, it's a huge ring). I haven't had to adjust it at all since I bought it over a year ago. I still use the TM...

Need Help Moving a Saltwater Tank in Cupertino

20 gallons is pretty easy, if you joined the club as a supporting member and introduced yourself, most likely someone here would volunteer to help.

Quick ICP head to head results

Yeah wasn't too keen on the both being off on the Ca reading (my new Salifert kit read 400 ppm that morning), but as far as trace metals go, both tests were close enough in the "present" vs. "depleted" or "wildly high due to overdose/failed magnet" areas that I'd be concerned about since I...

Quick ICP head to head results

Most people can barely read a regular bar graph, let alone understand standard error, or accuracy vs. precision, so I can see why they leave it out. Technically I should have done at least N=3 for each test, but a) I'm lazy and b) I only had one of the free TM kits. I would have liked to see...

Quick ICP head to head results

So I tested Triton ICP-OES vs. Tropic Marin ICP-OES. Price: $45 (6 for $270 but got a 160 gal box of TMP salt included). Tropic Marin kit was free from SWA for a $250+ order (normally $28 or so). However it cost $5.94 to ship. Both samples taken the same time and mailed out 1/5/26. Results...

    127g Acrylic build

@Turkeysammich did an in-tank one recently. I guess it's less of an issue for a short term one rather than rocks used in a continuous QT situation. I'd probably ICP after that whole removal process to be sure before adding any invertebrates.

Might be hard to keep coral later after the copper treatment. What's your plan there to remove it?

    Plunger wave device

Pretty loud but seems effective: Probably helps when you have that crazy bracing on the tank too.

    Angel Fish and Corals

Do you like the fish more than the corals? Because that will be the biggest factor. Assume it not eating a coral is a bonus. Also it depends on the type you want. Genicanthus won't go after your corals. Some centropyge are a coin flip for LPS, but most will at least nip at mucus. Risky with...

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

I have an extra grounding probe if you want. However who knows if it actually will do much.
