Hair algae, what inverts should I get??

I don't think much will eat established, long, hairy algae. The idea is to keep it managed before it gets to that point, which urchins are very good at doing. You may need to engage in some manual removal if your stuff is getting long and funky. Tangs don't really touch it usually either.

Hair algae, what inverts should I get??

Surprised nobody has said urchins. Urchins do more work than just about anything else in my experience (I do not have experience with Sea Hares).

    127g Acrylic build

I hate to be a downer, but keeping acrylic clean without scratching it is such an enormous chore. And it ends up getting scratched AF anyway. I love everything else about acrylic besides this. I have multiple mighty magnet sizes and setups. I do a daily clean with the lightweight magnet that...

Frozen food choice and have you had any issues?

I feed frozen less and less now that my CBB is eating from the auto feeder. But I've used a lot of Rod's and LRS with no issues as far as I know. And I've made my own mix a few times with seafood from the market as well.

corals in tank that you regret

This mf still shows up in different spots in my tank after abusing it and killing it over and over for the last 3 years. Pure reef cancer.

Nitrate testing variances between LFS and Hanna?

Looks like you started your tank about a month ago, and it's small. If you add a dragonette now it will die. Please don't do that! Work on managing stable salinity, predictable/small temp swings, and get your easy fish and CUC in a happy place. Add some basic corals along the way. In a year or...

Nitrate testing variances between LFS and Hanna?

I can guarantee you that a dragonette does not give a shit if your nitrates are 5, or 20, or 120. I would be way more concerned about having a large, mature tank that is well stocked with pods. IMO there isn't much difference between 8 and 20 as far as the rest of your tanks habitants are...

What other hobbies do you have?

I have really been upping my houseplant game lately. Ever since @Kensington Reefer gave me an Alocasia and coleus, I’ve been adding to my indoor garden big time. Now I’ve got a greenhouse cabinet, a begonia and Hoya collection, and a ton of propagations going. Some aroids on moss poles too. If...

    Thinking about switching salt

You will get a LOT of different opinions about salt, many are in this thread. Some folks are almost religious about it, and I'm not saying they are wrong. Only sharing my own experience. I have used TM, FM, IO, IO:RC, AF, Fritz, both Red Sea. I have at least 4 of these in my garage right now. I...
