I think we should let your tank mature awhile. How long has it been running? Also, do you have powerheads in your tank? Every PH and guard I've tried these nems have gotten through, and several have been lost by recipients from this thread in that way.

Do you have a pic of the shrooms/yumas? Is their rock removable?

Also, you would need to remove or cover the powerhead. These nems roam. What a nice tank you have! Could you tell me more about the Amazon skimmer you have?

Just found a used 28W 10K lamp in my ewaste box. No idea how long it was used. Also don’t know if this is the right bulb for BC16. It’s like 12” long. Square pin. Honestly, I think it is useless. I would switch to LED. Will let you know Monday if I find any new lamps at the school, though.

Hmm. I have two BC in my classroom that I use without the hoods. I unloaded my huge stash of 55W lamps couple months ago but forgot about the ones at the school which I assume are the 28W. Between science classes and aqua class we use so many towels! However, second to slipping on wet floors, towels are my classroom’s biggest trip hazard. To be fair, a lot of middle schoolers trip over their own feet.

I also have a Kraken Reef cover from 2022. Just a feeding cutout for auto feeder. It’s on a Biocube 29 so the feeder sits next to tank on a tower of objects and dumps food thru cutout. Love it.
