I could be way off here- I am not sure mine goes in reverse. I think it is an on/off situation. ON empties the box while OFF allows water to overflow into the top of the box and also back in through the lower port the pump is in.

What was your tool of choice for removing the all-in-one plastic and glass?! I remember how tough it was removing... Great job with the water height with the modular marine. A lot of us go too high with it.

I am ignorant on this- How do you store it after you open the mylar bag? I tend to buy the smaller packs (1 cartridge worth) so I don't have to worry about sealing the leftovers to avoid the media going bad. I don't know if my worry is legitimate or not though. I would love to save money on...
