    Spawning events

One of my porcelain crabs mounted up on a rock, spread eagle and spewed out countless amounts of eggs. Lights were off and I saw my fish going nuts. I thought it was an lps burp until I saw the purple porcelain crab releasing its eggs. I was to awestruck to take pics. It was on a fuller moon...

    Make your lights run cooler

Attach some copper to the heat sink that will rest on top the chip at the mother board. Bet that brings down thermals if your trying to get really frosty.

    Make your lights run cooler

Hot dipped in gravy! Killer idea, im wondering if thermal tape would be as effective as the goo. Less mess

    clownvan's 3g budget build

If you have not yet, check out the seachem hob filters 35, 55, 75, are the models i believe. I have a 55 on my 15g cube. It kicks way more ass than it should. Removable media tray, strong pump, kinda noisy unfortunately, but show me an ac pump that isn't. Of the marineland, fluval and seachem...

    clownvan's 3g budget build

Is the bubbler long term? Assuming not, I like the fluval ac20 HOB for about 40 bucks. I remove the mechanical filter foam and shove an airstone in the filter chamber for added gas exchange. They work great for what they are. Also I like to draw the water line in sharpee so I know how much to...

    DBTC: Lightbulb Anemone

https://novataxa.blogspot.com/2023/10/bellactis.html?m=1 Fancy aiptasia by classification looks right to me, it doesn't go nuts reproducing in my experience so far. Its no nexus burst thats for sure lol. It would be a cool addition to a predator or anemone tank. They do grow fairly quick.

    DBTC: Lightbulb Anemone

When there babies they look identical to aiptasia. From my experience they do not replicate like typicall nuisance aiptasia.

    Orange Sponge

Im attempting to culture the sponge. I scraped the sponge off in as large of pieces as I could. Luckily some was growing on the super glue, that chipped off nice. I cut some rubble to fit in one of those nifty piss containers kenny gives when you buy his coral. I have an acclimation box in my...

    Orange Sponge

I agree, only pns gets to be so expensive long term. I need to get back on phyto. I neglected my culture

    Orange Sponge

Good call, I was worried the sponge would have more chance of reforming on the elegance if I left it in the system. In the sump sounds like a fine idea.

Its a pretty bright orange under a fuller spectrum. This was taken at night with high blue/violet.

    Orange Sponge

I scraped off the sponge, dipped the coral and let the spores dry out, maybe not long enough. It grew back in a week or so, this sponge is death proof so far.
