    Urchin that eats valonia?

Ok @Thales -spill the beans -just to demonstrate that people are also excited about other things than the Rubbermaid toothbrush- you had mentioned an urchin that eats valonia? I couldn’t quite get the name of it off reef beef though. Can you tell us what it is and the concerns around coral...

Thank you to Boun & Patrick

This morning @boun11 came over and helped me “amputate” one of the rocks. As I moving towards heavy SPS that part of the rock was heavily loaded with Yumas and shrooms. I will get some SPS from him in trade. Then @HankDean V came over to discuss the new scape & some ideas of how the artist...

Long story short-I switched the plugs for the avast feeder and tube. Didn’t notice until much later.. basically dumped a lot of pellets now sitting on sand floor? Recommendations? Bury it with new sand? Try to gravel it out? Leave it be and the snails and shrimp will eventually deal with...

Elephant slugs (I think) and are PIF

Hi all- I am just clarifying that the species in the pics are these below, https://portphillipmarinelife.net.au/species/10945. I had a few but now suddenly they have exploded in population. They do a good job grazing and don’t bother corals. I just have too many I think??? I counted 14...

Kalk out, CO2 scrubber back in (and question on humidity)

Kalk is out due mostly to the fact that the amount of kalk needed to have an impact was exceeding the evaporation rate and was really problematic keeping it from getting into the hyposalinity state. So for the simple reason of never letting go of things-the CO2 scrubber is back in action. I...

And the blenny makes a break for it -

Earlier this week I thought the Molly miller blenny bit the dust. Very surprised last night when I went to clean out the protein skimmer it was swimming around the sump. Managed to get it back in the DT and hopefully it learned its lesson..
