    Farewell BAR!

Dear Bar, I’m moving out of the Bay to Paris (France) with my husband (who is French) on August 1st. I wanted to thank the club for the support and connection for the last two years I enjoyed meeting so many of you at the frat swap and Cal Academy visit. This was my first tank as an adult and...

Banggai Cardinal from AC not eating

If it won’t eat it all you can dose GC to the water but it’s less likely to help :( feeding the othe fish medicated food can help any internal parasites not spread to them see here for more info https://humble.fish/community/index.php?threads/internal-issues.9//

Banggai Cardinal from AC not eating

Is it also stringy? In any case could very well be internal parasites try general cure bound with focus to food: Using a shot glass: 1 scoop (~ 1/8 teaspoon) of medication (General Cure or Fenbendazole + Metroplex) 1-2 scoops Seachem Focus (this makes it reef safe + binds the medication to...

Banggai Cardinal from AC not eating

Try live baby brine shrimp. If you have access to live worms (I think ac sells them) try that. Also try feeding whole Large mysis with the lots of flow on. Finally I have found sustainable aquatics hatchery pellets (brs sells them) gets fish eating

Oh I just read that it buried itself - in that case it’s not a fairy wrasse

    Question for wrasse folks

Fairy wrasses don’t hide in the sand, so if it is hiding it is in the rocks. Could have jumped into the overflow if you have one, they are notorious jumpers

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

Update: the acan is looking much much better, I started feeding the tank 3x a day, but I honestly think I may have accidentally damaged one polyp (the one to the right, below the main polyp) two weeks ago with a toothbrush scraping cyano/algae off the rock and that it took some time for the...

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

yeah, they do. Do you think benereef could lower nitrates and phosphates (could it act as carbon dosing)? I don't think they were THAT low before...

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

ok so I just retested stuff and everything came back the same, except phosphorus, which I tested twice (hanna ULR) and it came back 0. So could that be my issue? Will feeding more increase phosphorus?

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

the acan came with the tank, so the disk is cemented to the rock and has been with me for close to 2yrs and in that location for at least a year. I don't think I want to risk messing with it too much?

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

The advice I got was to dose iodine, not dip. But yeah I don’t see much evidence that the coral is sick. I don’t have any nipping fish, I only have a pink streaked wrasse

Acan retracted for 10 days, advice?

My acan (micromussa) has been retracted for a few days (a little more than a week). Colors still seem seem just as vibrant as ever, but it is super retracted. (see pics below), in a way I've never seen before (at least for not more than a day). I maintain parameters with esv ionic, dosing 1ml...

    Free royal gramma in SF

My royal gramma has become too territorial for my 10 gallon tank. Free to a good home - pick up ASAP (I am home all day tomorrow - Monday). I have him in a container in the tank. I also have a bleached tropic thunder monti frag (dark red base with green polyps). It fell behind the rocks and...
