    Unreleased Hydros Maven

My plan is to use the Maven as a bellwether. If I like the ecosystem/etc enough, I'll make the switch.

    thephoreefer’s Torch Guide

@thephoreefer Aminos may be a no go, but do you do coral feedings with oyster feast, ROE, etc? Also, to add to your hardy torches section: dragon tamer. I wish I did not find this out, but they're even hardier than my dragon souls.

And so it begins again - Nemesis Tank

Nem tank, I'm assuming? :) It'll look awesome!

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

Yeah, I'm not super concerned about bumping it up, just don't want to shock anything doing it suddenly. I'll probably raise it by 5%/week until I'm happy or my acros start crying.

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

I'm slowly going to raise up the PAR, since I'm currently running these lights at only about 65%. I just don't want to bake my torches just yet. EDIT: IIRC, he had XR15s (not XR30s) and G5s vs G6. I'd argue that 10x XR15s outpeform 4x XR30s, but the light spread is noticeably better on the G6s...

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

Every time I add lights to fill in the gaps, it makes more gaps!!!

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

4-18-24 Finally got off my butt and took PAR readings. Lights are at 65% intensity, surface was being agitated (since I wanted 'real' readings rather than a still surface).

    Complete Bonus/Ultra Coral List - 2024 Current

Fine by me then; I was unaware of it, and if this helps promote it being spread through the club, ultra it is!

    Complete Bonus/Ultra Coral List - 2024 Current

I'll add that to the 'bonus' tier. Thanks!

And that's why I asked about the wet side, haha. It makes a difference!

    Biocube 32

Glad you like it! It really is one of those things that's hard to describe why it matters. First time I saw one I went, "So WHY is it that much?" then I used one and went, "Oh...that's why." Also, cool fact - your Vectra return pump has all the same settings and you can run it on Mobius, too! :)

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

Yeah; I've been running the UV for a year straight without checking, so it's my own fault, haha. Fish list is: Red Sea desjardini tang Achilles hybrid tang (Achilles x white cheek) Powder blue tang Yellow eye kole tang Bicolor foxface Copper banded butterflyfish Royal gramma Bimaculatus...

"The Lab" - Josh and Tiffany's IM Nuvo EXT 200

4-17-24 Been a few months since I last updated. Main changes are: Added the BRS Universal CO2 scrubber to the tank to combat relatively low pH. I'm a big fan, and it was super easy to set up. Added a fourth G6 XR30 blue to the tank for better coverage. Aside from that, not much has changed...

Help ressurect neglected tank - Long post alert.

@thesassyindian Also - depending on how long it will be before you're planning on doing this, I'm happy to throw some rubble (or a chunk of rock) in my DT and seed it for you to be picked up at the frag swap. Tank is fully QT'd, and seems to be pest-free (no aiptasia, bubble algae, etc.).

    Innovative marine 170 EXT

Honestly, if at all possible, I'd suggest checking out tanks running different lights. I'm a sucker for the Radion colors. Kessil has a great shimmer. There's little differences that may be big ones depending on your aesthetic.

    Innovative marine 170 EXT

Seconding this. IIRC my tank (Nuvo 200) is the same height and depth as yours, just 72" vs 59". I have 4x G6 XR30s over it. Granted, it's probably slightly overkill because I'm doing a mixed reef, but wouldn't be if it was SPS dominant. Also as a heads up - whatever light you choose, check out...

PIF-Bella goby if you have a big tank and a fish trap!

They kick sand around everywhere, but not as much as diamond gobies. I've still had to blow sand off rock near the sand bed where my gonis are, but I've never had a coral buried
