350-425ish tds from the house so I tend to replace membrane every 12 to 18 months. Zone 7 Water Agency uses chloromine. Most of my reefing budget goes towards making fresh and salt water these days. Envious of other members low tds source water.

Fixing the route cause of anything in this hobby is hard because we don't know enough to know if we truly are fixing something from the root. Is "low flow and certain trace elements too low" truly the root or a different band-aid? I can't even pretend to know.

I go by taste lol but I also use my rodi as drinking water. It gets a slight metallic taste when it’s time to change out anion. It usually happens before the entire canister changes color so I assume the water needs more travel time and change it out.
