Advice needed for elderly neighbors TFC streaming

Hello all !

I have a couple of elderly filipino neighbors that are being ripped off by the cable company, they pay about $200 a month on cable so they can watch TFC The Filipino Channel; yes, that's right, two hundred dollars every month !!
I'd appreciate any input from those here whose family streams TFC and about plans/platforms to use to be able to watch this channel; both (siblings) are in their late 80's and don't have a computer nor smart phone. I'd like to have something simple so they can still enjoy TFC.
They do have a smart TV but no internet service.

Thank you in advance, much appreciated.

$200 a month?! Man that sucks. There is an add on option for YouTube TV subscriptions to add that package for an additional $18 a month, but that would require internet. If they were to get sonic internet, youtube TV + the TFC bundle, it would still end up cheaper than $200/mo.

Thats dope of you to help out the elderly. Hope things work out.

Back 20 years ago I researched the same thing. At that time the only way to watch TFC was thru cable and it was 170 a month. I looked pretty hard convinced there was another solution. I couldn’t find it. I would research satellites now if I had to do it again. There wasn’t as much satellite access back then. It’s a rabbit hole tho.

Do they have relatives in the Philippines with decent internet? My cousin had a box in his Taiwan that would stream tv to his house in USA. It might work with the smart tv but not sure. I’ll see if I can find what it’s called.

I'm going to tell them to ask their relatives in Philipinas; it's just insanely crazy that they are charged that much money.

@FinalPhaze987 I will check the YouTube option, much appreciated.

@Turkeysammich It was the old days of cable tv, TFC and GMA (also from Philipinas) were (and still are) a gold mine; I did some work for Comcast for a few years and it was the only way for certain populations to get some channels from abroad and that meant the money-making machine of Comcast had a very strong monopoly? RCN/Astound San Bruno Cable and others could not hold a candle in the wind against them. As far as satellite options, many buildings restrict satellite installations as is the building where we live.
