Air Bubble in Candy Cane Polyp

Looking at the nano this morning and one candy cane polyp had an air bubble inbedded the lip of the polyp. It had partially ripped through the flesh. I poked it with the end of some tweezers and the bubble broke off and left a crater like wound in the polyp. The coral looks good other than that and all the polyps are fully inflated including the wounded one.

What causes this? The coral has been happy and undisturbed for several months now. No husbandry or lighting changes.

My LPS get air bubbles all the time it never causes damage, mainly for me it happens when i feed dry food (like otohime). It goes away after a few hours.

Very odd...never seen this. No dry food though.....

Does it rip through the flesh like it did on mine? It doesn't seem to phase the coral.

That's a pink hentai/ironman Litho with bubbles in it. I'm pretty sure I dont have cyno on a frag plug :p

edit: here's how it looks like before feeding dry food.
