Axel’s IM 30L

After taking a long break from reefing, I’m finally jumping back in with a new setup. Between a few moves over the past couple of years, I ended up breaking down all of my previous systems a 80 gallon, a 30 gallon, and a 20 gallon. The journey took me from San Mateo to Vallejo, and now I’m settled in Richmond and planning to stay put for a while.

With life finally slowing down and more time available, it felt like the right opportunity to get another tank going. This build will be an IM 30L on the APS stand, placed in my living room where it can be enjoyed every day.

I’ve been out of the hobby for a little over two years, but I’m excited to get back into it. The vision for this tank is a mixed reef with a soft coral hybrid setup simple, colorful, and sustainable without going too extreme.

I’m still gathering equipment and finalizing details, but since items are already starting to arrive, I figured it was time to kick off a new build thread and document the process.
Shout-out to @SupraSaltyReefer for hooking me up with a solid deal on some equipment to help get this build rolling.
