Bacteria and temporary high salinity 1.030

Partially fill my new tank at about 60%. Planning to transfer the cycled rock to the tank. I didn't pay too close attention during the initial filling since i can adjust later. Well. I'm at 1.030 at 60% full.

I am petty sure if I transfer the rock with this salinity then add RODI to lower then salinity to 1.025, the bacteria probably will not died off in the 30mins or so in 1.030 salinity. Right? I Increasing the water in the tank now will make life a little harder aqua scaping.

I hate to redo the cycle. The rock have been socking in the tub for 1.5 months.

Yeah while 1.030 is high, it's not critically high and the bacteria should not be affected in much of a way.

Probably long durations... seems my avg is about 1.030sg

You trust the apex probe? Don't get me wrong, I love my apex. But the salinity probe is a mess.
