Best way to “squirt kalk paste” ?

Ok -it looks like using a chocolate chip starfish to eradicate mushrooms is not going to work -so kalk it is to keep them under control

I have a small syringe taken from a testing kit that I created that has a plastic edge to help pierce them.

Issue is I am using 1:1 tablespoon kalk fo water -any better ratios? Also any better tools for dispensing this- especially long reaching for deeper in the tank.

I generally only do about 2 ml at a time not TO spike PH

I have always had success with a large 50cc syringe. Make the slurry as thick as possible but still flow out. Never had an issue with a ph spike. But never used it on anything smaller than a 100g system

I just use a disposable 5mL plastic pipette. But I don't add a whole 5mL of paste at a time

I have invasive orange discasoma mushrooms that I've been managing at best.

Majano Wand melts flesh on contact but you need to really swirl it around and hit them multiple days consecutively to prevent them from growing back. Not highly effective at killing infestations off, but good enough to keep them from encroaching. The pro is that it's convenient to use without getting my hands wet.

Kalk works better because it keep burning them from inside out after injection, but is a pain in the ass since I have to reach my hand in. They get severely damaged but don't die, so I have to follow up with by sucking out the dying parts before they recover. Equally pain in the butt. Some other mushrooms like rhodactis completely die from one dose though. You could try injecting them with sodium hydroxide, I heard about this having some success on reef beef (not with discosoma though)

Add me to the majano wand demo list please. Nuking some shrooms with lasers seems like it would be heaven to my 10yr old twin boys.

I've been doing kalk paste. I don't measure or have a detailed strategy. I put some salt and fresh water in a jar, dump kalk in, swirl, suck up around 80% of the syringe, put on shrooms. I turn all pumps off during this as well. Ends up putting a slurry/paste out that seems like mostly kalk.

Pretty effective at holding them back, but not sure how much it's completely killing them. I try and get the mouth, and when redoing I try and get the remnant parts of previous ones.

For getting the mouth, having the lights on and then extended helps. For trying to cover full mushrooms, having them shrunk up from lights out helps.
