DIY mesh lid - which mesh?

Hello people,
Which is the best mesh material for making a mesh lid using the DIY screen kit?
I see that Home Depot has way too many options. Most of the mesh rolls are huuuuge - like 7ft it 14ft long rolls.
Given that I have a small 13gal tank, are there smaller options?

BRS sells the mesh. How much do you need. I have some left over from a roll i bought. But it’s not much

I’d advise against the black mesh. It blocks a surprising amount of light.
