Do LPS and SPS coral polyps share food?

Do the polyps only keep the food energy for themselves to grow and build skeleton or do they disburse the digested food nutrients internally through the “coral body” so the whole coral and all the polyps benefits from the one polyp feeding? So when I’m feeding a favia or a NPS like a tubastrea is it important that EVERY polyp gets fed.

Thanks for the links...the site is now bookmarked and scheduled for regular reading.

Went to print out some articles to take with me for reading and the damn printer ran out of ink! So now going to copy and PDF all the articles (what they haven't already PDFd) so I can take them on my ebook.

Has anyone explored the idea of selecting some non-profit or not-for-profit research groups, like Coral Science or Justin Credible's new project, and having BAR be a sponsor? It also might be a new/good source of speakers for the club. Or maybe if the selected group is internationally based they could use Skype to speak to us. Just a thought.....

I can not say it'll happen. Last time Tim and I spoke we figured out we both enjoy public speaking the same... wr don't +)
