Generators also qualify, so anyone in these shutoff areas really should get one as their emergency plan.

I bought mine a few years ago right after the fires in the SC Mountains (CSU). I wonder if they'll still honor it?

The rebate application must be submitted within 12 months of purchase. It also must be one of the PG&E-approved units.
