Looking For Deep Blue LED Flashlight

Hi ... does anyone know where I might pick up a small LED flashlight that has the deeper blue LED bulbs? These would be similar to the ones that you see at swaps so that folks can see how the corals fluoresce. Thanks for the help!

Not sure if that is the color you're looking for though.

I've ordered electronic components from both places. Shipping takes a while, more so from DX, but other than that I've not had any issues. You do get what you pay for so choose wisely if you order from them.

Very cool, a LED flashlight retrofit. I'm wondering if I could replicate that with some other flashlight. I wonder if I could do that with my Fenix TK11, hehe.

If you care about the spectral output, ReefBuilders did a nice write-up about the Coral Fluorescent Protein (CFP) Checker Flashlight a while back.

However if economy is more important, what Charlie and Tony suggested would work. Alternately if you're like me and are sitting on some old Maglites - they are easy to mod.

Thanks all ... I actually found one at my trusty Ace today for about $12. Just have to be careful not to burn out my eyes with the UV spectrum!
