Hey Reefers,

I’ve got an itch for an Innovative Marine 25g Lagoon where nothing off-the-shelf quite fits, especially in depth. Before going full custom, I wanted to see if anyone has:

  1. A stand (wood, metal, or custom) lying around that fits or could be adapted to those dimensions = 23.6 inches long x 19.7 inches wide x 11.8 inches high
  2. Advice or sketch ideas on how to build a simple box stand (I’m no carpenter, never had access to shop or carpentry)
  3. Thoughts on using a stainless steel prep table and modifying it with magnetic doors or panels to hide gear and make it look clean, would also be nice.

I’m open to buying used, trading, or helping pay for materials if someone local can help build one. Any tips, dimensions, or photos of similar builds would be hugely appreciated.

There is absolutely no rush for this, this is a project for a year or two in the future, but I have struggled finding a suitable stand and would like to have that taken care of, built, finished by then.

Simple wooden stand should be very easy. Youtube has plenty of videos for 20 gallon tank stands, build one of those and adjust the dimensions. Maybe add a cross brace or reinforce the legs if you're feeling fancy

You'll need some 2x4, saw, and drill

Not hard to build a small one. Check out diy videos of it. If you think it looks possible to you, and you can make it down to santa clara one day and I'm available. I have the tools and a fair idea of diy projects. Though no professional, yet I expect I could help you do something that looks pretty decent in the end. If you buy the materials.

There are a more members capable but I wouldn't wanna volunteer them to help out lol unless less they speak up themselves.

All of the above are good ideas. Here’s one of by previous IM EXT25 tanks on a Harbor Freight tool cart.

That's a very generous offer my friend. I will definitely keep in touch if I go this route! Thank you!!!
