Myi8909's Tank Reboot: Waterbox 4820

Faced a tough decision last year and almost quit the hobby. Wife and I decided to give reefing another shot. Had a Red Sea Reefer 250 in the past that was just getting overrun with fuzzy mushrooms, aiptasia, xenia and RBTA. It was a losing battle... Ultimately, we ended up going with a new Waterbox Peninsula 4820 as a room divider for the new home.

Equipment:
  • 300W Eheim heater
  • Apex EL
  • Neptune Trident
  • 2x Reefwave 45
  • 3x AI Hydra 32HD
  • Neptune Cor15
  • Red Sea Reefdose 4
  • Reef Octopus 152-s skimmer

Skipping a refugium this time and going for a simpler sump setup. Also trying to be better about cable management.

Tank was cycled within 5 days and I transferred my livestock over from my old RSR250 over the course of 2 weeks after. Fritz900 is absolutely bonkers.

I fear the Midas blenny make a poor life choice and end up crisp on the floor.
I recommend a clear screen mesh top.

Fish are small brained
This is why my girlfriend loved our midas blenny, because she found it on the floor, but was able to save it because she heard it hit. I also routinely hear fish hit the lid during feeding time.
