Does anyone have any experience running sps tanks at 80 plus degrees? At the 1:02 ish mark, they pitch that sps tanks will grow faster at higher than 80, where I have always heard tanks should be at 78. @jhuynh , @Chromis and you other sps only people, do you have any experience running your sps tanks at 80 degrees or higher?

This was an interesting episode overall, and if you have the time, they go through a lot of the thoughts we have in reefing and potential misconceptions.

Yep, as long as it's not a drastic daily change, it isn't an issue. Ran one of my tanks at 80-82 for ~a year, but then dropped it once I picked up a school of ventralis, which does better at lower temps.
