I’m about to watch it

I’ll bet that less than 1% of the wild caught fish for the aquarium hobby live past 3 years
Just a thought and observation
The fish that do make it to our aquariums have a far better chance than most
Feed them, love them
They did not choose to be in your small box of water

IMHO
true. 100% of food fish are dead upon collection. Between that, and pollution, the hobby collection is a really small percent in the over all issue.

How was it? any truth to it? from what I have researched online aside from the targeting of specific species (flame wrasse, etc) the aquarium fishery in hawaii does not have a substantial impact on the ecosystem there

The amount of loss a aquarium shop sees is staggering!! For this reason and this reason alone I choose to only sell aquacultured fish. I do keep selecting wild fish in my frag systems as clean up crew.

The documentary was not a great one. Aside from bad practices like using cyanide or dynamite, they didn’t offer any proof that there’s an impact to the reefs.
That’s exactly what I thought it was all opinion based. Little to no actual evidence was given
