With my aquascape, my torch corals are 2-3 inches from the surface in the morning, and when fully expanded in the evening, the tentacles are touching the surface. (see! pic)
Does anyone have experience with this?
What are the possible cons?

- water change, skeleton not exposed to air yet, but with more vertical growth, it could be a possibility.
- skeletal formation is umbrella-like. For example, A 4-5 head torch skeleton grows horizontally, sharing the same flesh band.
