Woe Day Scammer

Careful buying from Woe Day, potentially sell you product that may not function correctly. He may withheld crucial information that affect the function of the item just to get rid of / make sale. No returns. Which my opinion is very scammy. For my instance Nero3 no submersible magnet, shakes (only25%) and drops into tank frequently damaging coral and stir up sand everywhere. Refuse to return, has no integrity and is not a good person to deal with. Watch out or avoid!

Just my general thoughts here as a avid purchaser of used equipment. (not anything representing bod here)

I would say that 85% of my stuff is used including tanks, lights and other major equipment items. There were a few key items or equipment I purchased new but not many.

Buying used equipment I first and foremost understand that I'm buying it at a discount in a effort to save money. With that expectation
It should go without saying there is no warranty or typical refund expected unless you plug something up and it doesn't function at all. There is due digilance upon pick up to look items over maybe ask to see them functioning. It's not uncommon for something used to be missing a part, have some minor damage or some modifications made by the seller.

Yet there are two sides of the equation here. It's up to buyer to inspect item and determine if he's willing to take the risk to save money.
It's also a seller's moral responsibility to make reasonable disclosures of known issues or possibly missing parts.

If this was me and it was missing a magnet I would first ask the club, if anyone has one laying around, if not I would probably just buy one for $20 move on and be dang sure to check future used items I buy for those.

If I were selling the used item and something was missing that I didn't know within reason I might return some of the money, a refund idk it depends on the item and what the issue was. I would also be willing to bend a little to ensure this wouldn't potentially effect opinions on future items I might sale.

For the sake of peace I would have said well the replacement costs $20, give me $10 or I will give you $10 back meet in the middle.

*I'm definitely not intending this to seem as though I'm taking sides here - I promise I'm not.*

Both parties have responsibilities here who's at fault the world may never know.

1.) Is this enough to label someone a scammer- I don't think so.

2.) Is this enough to say that it's all the buyers fault for not checking it out- I don't think so (seeing that information wasn't disclosed prior or during exchange).

3.) Ultimately I hope you guys can meet in the middle here and find a respectful resolution.

@thephoreefer
@Woeday

I have bought items or livestock from both of you gentleman on multiple occasions. I have some respect for both of you- Just Wanna see you guys work things out like adults and not let things spiral.

It’s all about integrity with me, I don’t really care for the money. I thought I bought functional nero3(keep falling down having is not functional to me) my fault trusting of people thinking people have good integrity. I don’t think everyone out there scamming me. Only 100$. If he accept return I wouldn’t actually return it just testing him for his integrity. Thus show me he has none. He’s getting out of hobby so trying to sell at any cost. He all about money right now forsaken his integrity and reputation as a person. Money u can get easily but your morality and integrity is harder to earn back. If item missing anything have issue I would tell the buyer before selling and not withheld information from them just to sell it, it shows u value money more than anything else. I value integrity more than money. I’d rather be homeless and have integrity than be rich and have none.

Thats hella shady from what I read.

@Woeday man up and give him his money back, shake his hand and apologize for the misunderstanding. I could give less of a $hit how cheap you sold it. If you weren't forthcoming with its defects, that's shady...we dont play that on here. Do the right thing.

No wonder he doesn’t answer he's getting out the hobby. I reached out and my friends reached out but no answer what so ever. A simple response from him would be nice stating im no longer selling or im getting out the hobby.
Aside from that I agree thats shady if you knew its not working tell the buyer before selling. That says a lot about the person!

It’s not about the money to be honest it’s about integrity. I’m donating the nero3 to BAR to auction off at swap if approved. Hopefully Eric can find the interior magnet

Agreed 100%. From my view, its all in the principle. I dont tolerate people of our community getting jacked like that and what I dont personally condemn, I condone.

I'm sorry this happened to you man, especially amongst someone who was once part of our community.

I know times are hard for people nowadays, but pulling shady crap like this ain't the answer.

If its all a misunderstanding, clear the air and man up to it. But dont be no punk and jack someone from the reefing community, or any community at that.
